»Hello from Paris,
From next to Bastille square. Here, as well as in many other cities across France, we are mobilized for the same reasons. We are fighting for real democracy. Encouraged and bolstered by you, we are continuing this fight together, and we send you our support.
Many cities are holding general assemblies and regular actions, despite the difficulties such as police repression, media censureship, and various other means of pressure, whether they be physical or psychological.
Thinking and discussing about democracy, in the so-called ‘home of human rights’, as many french people believe, has become dangerous!
A general assembly in front of Notre Dame cathedral, ended up at the police station.
On the 14th of july we were joined by delegations from across France.
Everything is being done to stop us being visible, including physically. It’s impossible to stop, to assemble, to express ourselves in Bastille Sq. and anywhere we go. The police loved our idea of camping at Bastille sq. so much that they stole it. They occupy the square day and night for 2 months now. But they won’t stop us. We are getting ready for the long term.
Bye, see you hopefully in more democratic times, from all of us, the indignated, here in Paris. »
