The ceremony for Silo’s departure took place on Friday 17th September, in the city of Mendoza, in the presence of his friends and loved ones who attended from different parts of the world. Pressenza has released a video of this event. Now Silo’s disciples will spread the ashes in 20 Parks for Study and Reflection in America, Asia, Europe and Africa.

From the 17th to the 20th of August the XVI São Paulo Forum Meeting, created in 1990 took place in the City of Buenos Aires. Political parties, organizations and representatives from 18 countries in the region participated in the event. Overthrown Honduran President, Manuel Zelaya was present. The Humanist Party from Argentina participated in all workshops.

Almost 1500 assistants gathered last Saturday in 20 Parks of Study and Reflection in America, Asia and Europe. Young people, elderly people, women, men, students, workers, and a variety of customs, ethnic backgrounds and cultures joined together to take part in a meeting where the collective understanding was the distinctive feature of the day.

A new process of preparatory work for the Disciplines, an internal process of transformation giving access the Profound spaces of the Mind, begins in the Parks of Study and Reflection on Saturday August 14th. In 20 parks across America, Europe and Asia, thousands of people will attend to begin the work of the Siloist School.

For those interested in beginning the works of levelling a new cycle will begin on Saturday May 29th 2010, from 08:00 hours to 20:00 hours (local time in each of the parks) in the 21 Parks of Study and Reflection around the world. Those interested should enrol with the Commission in the Park where they wish to participate.

On March 6, mass gatherings were held at the world’s Parks of Study and Reflection. This unprecedented new initiative hopes to contribute to the evolution of the human process. Twenty parks located in America, Europe, Asia and Africa have become the sacred places where thousands of people gathered to begin their practices for accessing the Profound.

Base teams of the Buenos Aires Humanist Party are setting in motion a mass dissemination campaign in favour of ‘Direct election of judges and commissioners’. The humanists assert that the only way to have judges and commissioners who are concerned with meting out justice and ensuring compliance with the law to the benefit of the people, is with the mechanisms of Real Democracy.

This Monday the Bolivian foreign secretary invited representatives from all of the world’s countries and governments to the Climate Change Summit to be held in Cochabamba from April 20 to 22. It is hoped that 11,000 people will take part to encourage the proposal of substantive measures “aimed at improving the well-being of all humankind in harmony with nature”.

Montecillo Park for Study and Reflection, which will be located in the surroundings of Cochabamba, will be an addition to other such parks that are located in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the United States, Brazil, and countries in Europe and Asia. It will be a new place to help ‘unveil that which is Sacred’ in human beings and to promote non-violence and non-discrimination.

Almost 26 years after its founding, the International Humanist Party, which proclaims “active nonviolence” as its method of action, began a new phase with a global meeting. At the Park of Study and Reflection at Punta de Vacas members of Humanist Parties from all over the world converged. Exchanges were conducted and a short term plan was defined.
