Yes, it’s happened again! Another terrorist attack in London. This time in the tube and guess who did it? I.S. of course. “According to a translation by a Middle East observer Hassan Hassan, a message on the Isis’s propaganda page, Amaq, said: ” The bombing of the IED in the London tube was carried out by a unit affiliated to the Islamic State”. First, I ask myself; Who is this mysterious Middle East observer? And second; How can any sane person on Earth take an announcement made by the Isis’s propaganda page, seriously?
The perpetrators however are still at large, probably roaming around London. That is why Theresa May has just declared a critical national state of emergency as there is an imminent threat of attack. But be calm! Don’t panic! Yes, the message is clear: Go back to work on Monday -and don’t forget to take the underground – as if nothing had happened. We really have nothing to worry about. Just listen to our leaders: “We’re not intimidated by terrorism” Sadiq Khan speaking in BBC News. I find it difficult to interpret or even assimilate the first sentence of this opinion column. It reads: ” We cannot rely forever on the incompetence of our enemies but we should enjoy it while it lasts.” There you are. It now seems that the terrorist are actually doing us a favour by allowing the public (us) to carry on living. Next time we won’t be so lucky!! So just carry on and be calm. Our leaders and our official media cannot be any more reassuring and The Guardian’s Editorial finishes on a very promising and hopeful note: ” but if (terrorist attacks) become a regular feature of British life (…) it’s best that we not get too excited.” Yes of course, Bah! Bah! Bah! Baa! If we haven’t turned into sheep already, we will, if we carry on listening to the reassurance of our leaders or reading the editorials from what are suppose to be our leading newspapers.
