Donald Trump should not be welcomed to Britain while he abuses our shared values with his shameful Muslim ban and attacks on refugees’ and women’s rights” Corbyn adds. “Theresa May would be failing the British people if she does not postpone the state visit and condemn Trump’s actions in the clearest terms. That’s what Britain expects and deserves”.
Corbyn then invites to sign and share a petition “to prevent Donald Trump from making a State Visit to the United Kingdom”. The petition has already collected more than one million signatures and their number increases with each passing minute. Parliament considers all petitions that get more than 100,000 signatures for a debate, so this issue will certainly be discussed.
