In order to understand what historical moment we find ourselves in, it is not only about the geopolitics of the great powers, it is about seeing history in its present dynamic, trying to observe the interaction of various factors.

Transhumanism wants to take the skies by storm

Certain global elites are trying to give direction to humanity. When in forums like Davos – and others behind closed doors – they say they are looking out for humanity, they are not entirely lying, and that is the worst thing.

Transhumanism is often presented by the new prophets as the necessary evolutionary leap, so much so that it claims to be the new religion that will displace spirituality.

The proposal, a few decades away, is to reach full happiness. Stop! only some of the terrestrial inhabitants, as different human typologies will be designed.

Here is a typical video about the wonders that await us in the future: https://youtu.be/q3AN12rfU38 . Longevity, immortality, new eugenics, super-intelligence, super-soldiers, end of hunger and disease, organ regeneration, designer babies, colonisation of other planets, uploading of consciousness…

This claim intrudes into the realm of spirituality, whose ultimate goal is “the control of time and energy” (Silo, 1969).

The evolutionary leap does not shock us, a technological civilisation such as the one that has arisen in the Solar System will have unimaginable future moments today, given its accelerated process.

But let us look at the background, lest there be nothing new in this whole transhumanism business.

This doctrine has been tried to justify itself intellectually through Nietzsche’s conception of the superman, but omitting that the philosopher was referring to a new essential human being, not a machine. Nazism has already tried to justify itself in Nietzsche; perhaps it is, once again, the same resilient Nazism.

Spirituality, like energy, is neither created nor destroyed.

When people talk about things from platitudes, without the will to study, they say that Nietzsche, Newton, Einstein or Schrödinger were atheists. But the reality is that they all longed for meaning and envisioned a human being connected to a transcendent universal purpose.

Newton studied and developed the legendary Hermetic occultism before studying the nature of light, optics, infinitesimal calculus and gravitation.

Some of the tenets of Hermetic doctrine were: symbolic thought, the human being as a link between the microcosm and the macrocosm, the anima mundi, the theory of correspondences between levels, the complementarity of opposites, meditation as a technique of ascesis, and life as a path of personal transmutation.

In Walter Isaacson’s book Einstein: His Life and Universe the quote appears:

“Try to penetrate with our limited means into the secrets of nature and you will find that, behind all discernible laws and connections, there remains something subtle, intangible and inexplicable. The veneration of this force which surpasses all that we can comprehend is my religion. In that sense I am, in fact, religious”.

As for Nietzsche, he refers to man being able to overcome himself and his nature in order to attain the freedom of his essence. For this he must also break with the dogmatic mental form of the traditions.

Greek scepticism” and Husserl’s “epoché” were saying: put everything into question, do not start from anything established, from that place try to explore the world around you and the way you see it and structure it. Try to understand with your mind clear of all preconceived ideas.

Ortega y Gasset observed that for it to do that requires courage and made reference to the ‘chest’, as a point where it registers.

Ortega describes the lack of courage in the Epilogue on the disillusioned soul.

“…the superstitious soul is, in effect, the canine in search of a master. No one remembers any more even the noble gestures of pride, and the imperative of freedom, which resounded for centuries, would not find the slightest understanding. On the contrary, man feels an incredible eagerness for servitude. He wants to serve everything: another man, an emperor, a sorcerer, an idol. Anything, rather than feel the terror of facing alone, with one’s own breast, the onslaughts of existence”.

Is it not correct to think that if there is a “primordial reality”, setting aside the fear of the void would be the starting point to be able to grasp it?

When it comes to spirituality, time is non-linear. The same developments and approaches are found at very distant points in time.

Buddhism has been interpreted as a form of atheism, precisely because it starts from “ataraxia”. It is from a mind suspended in the void that progress can be made, which is not unlike the “Gnosticism” and “the cloud of not knowing” of the Desert Fathers of Eastern Christianity.

Without surrender and detachment from reason there is no revelation.

The germ of civilisations clashes with the established civilisations.

Mystical devotion has not set its interest in polemicising with the heritage of ancient knowledge, but in trying to experience its interior contact with what is essential, setting aside everything that interferes.

It is a matter of searching for an experience and not of endlessly arguing with the established belief system of the time.

Obviously this point is very problematic in the social-historical world. Contact with the profound does not go unnoticed. Inadvertently or unintentionally, “sacred” things are touched, which is often frowned upon.

Previous generations established what is sacred and must be protected with zeal, but what was initially a pure experience of contact was later externalised and remained a formal system equivalent to a shell with dubious fruit.

On the other hand, an experience of contact, though intense and pure, does not guarantee a correct translation of it by the devotee, who once out of the experience is determined by its temporal landscape.

It is interesting to observe how millenary civilisations emerge from something as trivial as the experience of its interior contact with the profound.

DYNAMICS OF HISTORICAL TIME

A necessary positioning in favour of life

We understand generations as the driving force of history, in the sense of Ortega y Gasset . It is from this look that the historical problematic is observed. That is to say, it is a way of observing, a law that acts on the historical process.

“There have been generations that have felt a sufficient homogeneity between what they have received and what is their own. Then they live in cumulative epochs. At other times they have felt a profound heterogeneity between the two elements, and there have been eras of elimination and polemics, generations of combat. In the former, the new young people, in solidarity with the old, are subordinate to them: in politics, in science, in the arts, the old continue to lead the old. These are the times of the old. In the latter, since it is not a matter of preserving and accumulating, but of discarding and replacing, the old are swept aside by the young. They are times of youth, ages of initiation and constructive belligerence”. (Ortega y Gasset 1983).

The installed generation will always tend to want to preserve its status, looking nostalgically towards a past that is fading into memory. The generation tends towards extinction, does not recognise itself in the present and has less and less control over the future.

This attrition is so traumatic that it can give rise to a path of systemic violence in an attempt to control time by force, i.e., to perpetuate itself by trying to manipulate and repress what is emerging.

However, it would be simplistic to limit ourselves to stating: the new is good and the old is bad.

In the generational dynamics of different cultures, we can also observe an uneven spiritual attrition.

In the Western World, we see today an old generation that wants to play God, without having understood anything of the human process.

These dying people are going to mix things up to disguise themselves as philanthropists, they are going to talk about an earthly paradise for the few, which is to become a stupid cyborg with great abilities.

They say they are the future because they have the financial resources to appear modern. These resources have been obtained illicitly with a colonialist system of thought and methodology.

These globalists are not the future, they are the past, their worldview is the past. To feed a system of swindle and organised crime that they call Capitalism, they rely, above all, on the war industry.

They make everything profitable: war, reconstruction, disease, health… While the future of humanity is postponed, trapped in the collapse of generations.

It matters little that they have educated in their centres of power a handful of privileged young people (who preside over companies and countries as obedient servants), their model is the old colonialism.

On the other hand, in the Eastern World, as well as among the original peoples of America, societies are not yet so unstructured, they retain something that sustains them, a substratum that gives them a certain ethical and moral balance.

In trying to find non-linear spirituality, we observe that the new is also latent in the past (no matter if thousands of years have passed) and will appear in the future in some way unknown today.

On the level of geopolitics, the outcome of the clash between the two worlds affects the survival of humanity.

It is about civilisations, not partisan acronyms. There is no point in equidistant non-positioning. There is nothing new – there is no real reflection – in political, philosophical and spiritual currents which, in trying to represent the new, aspire to inhibit themselves and isolate themselves from the world.

“There is no party or movement on the planet that can do away with violence” (Silo 1969). Thus, existential positioning for survival – in one’s own chest – is a requirement of the historical moment.

We call for observers, from all fields, committed to our historical time. New Paradigms is a social network project that we hope to see grow in participants and content. The confluence of different looks will allow us to configure encouraging scenarios in philosophy, spirituality, politics, art, science and culture, in the face of the empire of lies.
