In Lisbon, the PH has submitted a proposal for a participatory budget for the city for the year 2015. The proposal is called “House of Social Initiatives” and is the creation of a municipal open space to non-violent social initiatives by different groups, associations and political parties without discrimination, sharing facilities and resources.
At this time, the vote is in progress in the projects until November 6. The humanist project has the number 208 and was included by the municipal technical services group projects with a value between € 150,001 and € 500,000 (there is another group of projects up to 150,000 €).
The vote can be made mobile by SMS or by logging into the website www.lisboaparticipa.pt.
So the PH is campaigning, trying to spread its proposal by personal contact, social networking, email, etc., and to get enough votes to which the municipality has to implement this proposal next year. At the same time, it is trying to take the campaign to involve members and new contacts, in order to be able to form teams and benefit base later this municipal facility.
