It is hard to overstate the contribution made by Massive Attack to the music world and beyond it over decades. Formed in 1988 in Bristol, UK, they released one of the most iconic singles of 1991, “Unfinished Sympathy“. After this first move, the band dealt with issues of addiction, class, poverty, social inequality, racism and war among others through their songs and especially through their videos. Their concerts in Greece and worldwide are always sell outs. The band’s fans are many and dedicated.
In the midst of a general and unprecedented crisis, put into sharp focus by the Covid-19 pandemic, the band could not remain silent. Thus, in response to the particular difficulties of the time when thousands of people are sick and dying, but also dealing with the challenge of climate change and the outrage of tax havens, they have just released the Eutopia EP. It consists of three collaborations on three topics: basic income, climate change and tax havens, accompanied by videos using extracts of speeches by Professor Guy Standing, Christiana Figueres (Former executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) and professor Gabriel Zucman.
