Introduction

Massive global changes are taking place, now, as you read these words. These changes, which are not being properly reported on in the Western press, are going to have a major impact on most aspects of the lives of whoever is reading this piece of writing. The aim of this particular article is to provide a kind of wake up call, a warning about what’s coming in the near future in order to facilitate thought and action that is productive rather than frazzled and reactionary. For this reason, its tone might appear a little direct, a little alarmist, maybe even a little apocalyptic to some readers. Rest assured, this piece of writing is a hopeful one. If anything it’s anti-apocalyptic. Consider this article a “Yes” shouted out in a field that is otherwise largely made up of “No”.

The Cause of Western Skepticism

In Part 1 of this series, I spoke about the one coherent heart and head centered option for us as individuals and as citizens of our respective countries: To move toward peace and reconciliation within ourselves and with our global neighbors.(1) I also spoke about a very real avenue of opportunity that has presented itself of late. A coherent and far from impossible (at this point) image of a future in which the nations of the world, instead of competing with each other and killing each other, work together and help each other.

Not unexpectedly, this image of global cooperation was met by a portion of my readers with strong skepticism and in a few cases, with laughter. The reason I say that the skepticism was expected is because the last two decades of propaganda here in the West about almost every nation that hasn’t conformed to the dictates of US neoliberal regime-change “capitalism” has been relentlessly one-sided and cartoonish.(2)

As a result, a large portion of Americans and many Europeans now erroneously view countries such as China, Iran and Russia, to name just a few, as entirely anti-democratic imperialist enemies who are incapable of mutual cooperation and hell-bent on taking our freedom away. While there’s no doubt that the countries mentioned above have their problems, the idea that it is they and not the US who’ve been resistant to cooperation and who’ve demonstrated imperialist aims, is clearly false.(3)

In fact, in the 21st century so far, it is the US that has been blatantly imperialist and unprecedentedly violent in its’ attempt to overturn and conquer countries all over the globe. It is the US who’ve killed millions of innocent civilians during its many wars, invasions and proxy-invasions over the course of the last 23 years.(4) China, Russia and Iran on the other hand, have not engaged in any such invasions, with the exception of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which began in February of 2022. Add to this the fact that most of the world now agrees that Russia’s invasion was a protective military move that was instigated by the US over a period of at least 10 years.(5)

America and Europe’s Populations Must Become Aware of This, Right Now

Over the course of the last two and a half years I’ve been documenting the steady fall of US hegemony and the near exponential growth of BRICS, a global economic and military alliance of countries that makes up over half the world’s population and accounts for just about half of the world’s GDP. In fact, just over the course of the last month the BRICS coalition added 9 new partner countries to its speedily growing roster of partner nations.(6)

On the other hand, the Western economic alliance, the G7, which has revolved around the upkeep and proliferation of US economic and military dominance over the course of the last 30 years, is now in a process of steady decline.(7) All indications now are that this process of decline isn’t going to stop. In fact, in all likelihood, this decline is going to continue until a major economic collapse occurs, very likely within the current decade, by 2030.

So far, the Western press has done its best to minimize and in some cases falsify the very well documented facts that I’ve just mentioned. The fact that BRICS is growing and its member nations are prospering and that a majority of Western nations are moving toward recession and industrial decline is not up for debate.(8) In order to deal with this situation, which is upon us whether we wish it to be or not, we must face it head on. We must leave the realm of denial if we expect to have a chance to deal with what’s coming down the pike in a coherent and capable manner.

A Time is Approaching Soon for the US

A time is approaching soon when it will begin to become clear that the BRICS alliance of countries is going to overtake the US led Western G7 alliance as an economic and military contingent. This realization will most likely make its way into the unsuspecting minds of the masses via a series of closely spaced (in time) economic downturns accompanied by inflation and then recession.

These economic “surprises” will most likely be accompanied by a smattering of psycho-social delights, ie: incidents of seemingly extemporaneous flair-ups of violence, that will be taken advantage of by those within both aisles of the red and blue halls of power. These protectors of the now multi-billionaire dominated and controlled system will then attempt to divide and manipulate the usual political factions in directions contrary to communal cooperation and in a direction that protects their interests, the interests of the ultra-wealthy, at the expense of the citizenry that those in power are the supposed protectors of.

Indeed, it will all get more (and more) than a little confusing until the heretofore manipulated opposing blue and red factions realize that it’s only by uniting that we will begin to extricate ourselves from our shared conundrum.

A Moment of Reckoning Is Approaching for Europe As Well

In Europe, this sea-change will likely take even more surprising turns at an even quicker rate. For instance, this coming February there will be an election in Germany (Europe’s most powerful economic nation). If the far right and/or far-left take power, there is a good chance that Germany will be the first European Nation to leave NATO in the 21st century.(9) If this happens it could very well begin a series of exits from NATO in the region.

Correspondingly, Turkey has shown interest in joining the BRICS coalition, although they have not mentioned that they will leave NATO. The point being: These kinds of possibilities and decisions would have been unthinkable three years ago, before the massive “Bolt to BRICS” began in 2023.(10) All indications are that these sorts of announcements will increase in the coming months and years, as BRICS continues to grow in power and influence as an economic force and as a loan lending partnership that offers better rates, with less complications, to its customers than the US does.(11)

A Choice Between Intelligence and Stupidity

In the coming months/years, most likely within this decade, the US is going to be faced with a choice: America will either attempt to forcibly prevent the already immense and exponentially accelerating aforementioned changes that are sweeping over the planet, or she will recognize the futility of taking on the tidal wave of global intention to shift from a unipolar world order of US dominance to a multipolar world order of cooperation between nations.

I’ll let you, the reader, decide which of these two choices is the intelligent one and which is the unintelligent one. In Part 3 of this series of articles, we’ll delve more deeply into the personal, into how we can use this period of “crisis” as an opportunity to grow rather than as an opportunity to regress.
