Reflections in Motion: An Exploration of Memory, Identity and Water by Jade Fulgar:

Navel” Acrylic on canvas 72 x 60 inches 2024

A solo exhibition that immerses viewers in the transformative and fluid nature of memory and identity through the metaphor of water.

Each artwork delves into themes of love, resilience, and the fleeting beauty of existence, offering narratives that resonate with universal experiences. From the delicate grace of the Fern Girl to the poignant vulnerability of human connection and the symbolic tension of the Selkie myth, the exhibition invites us to reflect on belonging, loss, and transformation.

Water’s duality—both boundless and bounded—mirrors life’s complexities, serving as a vessel for light, memory, and introspection. Fulgar masterfully translates these themes into breathtaking compositions, encouraging viewers to uncover their own stories within the layers of grace and fluidity.

“Beyond Replication: The Birth of Composition by Ian Fulgar:

“Urbanism in Motion #8” Acrylic on canvas 24 x 36 inches 2024

A solo exhibition that delves into the intersection of architecture and music through abstract art. Inspired by the dynamic expressions of Wassily Kandinsky and Joan Miró, Fulgar creates rhythmic compositions that echo the vibrancy of urban life, the forward-thinking ethos of Futurism, and the minimalist principles of the Bauhaus movement.

At its core, the exhibition questions the synthetic nature of contemporary living, inviting viewers to reflect on the harmony and dissonance present in modern urban landscapes. Each piece transforms architectural forms into vibrant abstractions, celebrating the interplay of form, color, and rhythm akin to an improvisational jazz performance.

Through “𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣,” Fulgar masterfully bridges the gap between structure and spontaneity, evoking an emotional response that invites us to contemplate progress, identity, and existence in a world shaped by both innovation and artifice.
