San Roque, Bacon District, Sorsogon City – The Sorsogon Province de Ciudad Eagles Club, BSR II Lady Eagles Club, Kurit Lagting Art Collective, Delta Beta Omega, and the San Roque Barangay Council collaborated to organize a Community Outreach and Medical Mission for senior citizens in Sorsogon City.

Held on May 11, 2024, at the Covered Court of San Roque Elementary School in Brgy. San Roque, Bacon District, the event aimed to address the healthcare needs of the elderly population in the community.

The medical mission provided essential health services, including consultations, check-ups, medication distribution, screenings for age-related health concerns.

“We are delighted to have been a part of this impactful initiative, reflecting our commitment to improving the well-being of our senior citizens,” remarked Ronaldo Laurora, Club President of Sorsogon Province de Ciudad Eagles Club.

Dr. Nenneth E. Alama, Club President of BSR II Lady Eagles Club, stated, “The medical mission was a testament to the power of collaboration and community engagement, providing vital healthcare services to our elderly population.”

Allan Abrigo, Co-founder of Kurit Lagting Art Collective, emphasized their commitment to social change saying “At Kurit Lagting Art Collective, we use our platform to make a positive difference in society, exemplified by this activity.”

Ted Doloiras and Glenford Nicolas, members of Delta Beta Omega, highlighted the importance of supporting community initiatives.  “Delta Beta Omega is honored to have been a part of this meaningful endeavor, reinforcing our mission to support initiatives promoting community well-being,” they said.

“As the Barangay Captain of San Roque, I am grateful for the collaboration that made the medical mission possible, addressing the needs of our senior citizens.” added Hon. Rolfo Dogillo, Brgy. Captain of Brgy. San Roque, who expressed gratitude for the collaborative effort.

The medical team, in partnership with Chacon General Hospital Inc., included esteemed doctors Dr. Jose Ferdinand Lubag and Dr. Ramon Crisanto T. Amador, along with dedicated nurses Vincent John G. Dimaano and Catherine G. Noarin.
