On the verge of the end of the formula that explicitly violates the decision expressed at the ballot box, the political elite, who had already betrayed the people, did not want to get their hands on the issue that gave rise to the social outburst.

Polls show the trend that the AGAINST is outnumbering the FOR. CEP: 8% in favour; 30% against; 53% undecided; 9% do not know or do not answer. CADEM: 38% in favour; 46% against; 16% undecided.

The majority are those who are not at all interested in this constitutional process, and if it were not for the obligatory nature of the vote, they would simply not attend the vote, because they would keep the constitution of the dictatorship or the one drafted by the ultra-right.

The great majority do NOT believe in the traditional and corporate politicians of the broad spectrum “party of order”. Those same ones who in 2015 were discovered in the most widespread corruption, that of receiving millionaire and transversal financing from the economic elite of the country and abroad, and who acting corporately, defined a National Prosecutor who ensured them to get out unscathed, a matter publicly denounced and in their faces, by the Prosecutor in charge of the investigation at the time Mr. Carlos Gajardo, who was removed from the case together with the prosecutor Norambuena, for his complicit leadership of the politicians, thus perpetrating impunity, which destroyed public faith, which today cynically the corrupt say they do not understand, just as they do not understand the outbreak of 2019, and the subsequent distancing of citizens from their “constitutional kitchens”.

This is not a Constituent Process, but an intentional act of the political-mercantile elite, to retake control of the social whole.

The whole design is flawed and corrupt from its origin, starting from the worst of conditions and with the worst of intentions. The privatisation of social rights, the criminalisation of social protest, a redefinition of human rights contrary to their international conception, conservatism concerning public institutions, centralism, and the concentration of power in the same institutions that are now in crisis.

Our political collective has a position for the vote AGAINST in the exit plebiscite of 17 December 2023; keeping alive the aspiration of a Sovereign Constituent Assembly, and leadership that contributes to uniting our people, being part of the reconstruction of the social fabric in the territories, places of study and work, to strengthen the collective identity as a people, to end the delegation of power, to advance in building sovereignty, social protagonism and civic self-formation, in a POLITICS with a capital P. This is what it means to increasingly adapt to change.

For centuries the people of Chile have been trying to regain their sovereignty, regain their dignity and regain their power from the hands of the elites. This inspiration, this hope, this need has not died. It has submerged awaiting new winds that spread the seed that sooner or later will bear fruit. Remembering the national history prize winner,

Gabriel Salazar: “The underground movement of History does not stop”.

We must stop believing in this dying system, which still maintains its façade, its buildings, and its rituals.

We must bet on what is being born, resisting the dastardly narrative of the media in the service of the elites.

This is our mission. To stand up against injustice, exploitation, discrimination and violence.
To always stand on the side of our people, helping them to stand up against injustice, exploitation, discrimination, and violence. To increasingly adapt ourselves to this inevitable change that is already taking place in humanity.
