The forest fires that have ravaged Kabylia and some regions of Greece are extremely violent, touching people in their flesh and claiming many victims. A human and environmental drama that the international community must intensify its mobilization.
A surge of solidarity initiated by volunteers from the Kabyle diaspora in North America, which has become a tradition as soon as a tragedy occurs, has been organized to come to the aid of the populations affected by the devastating forest fires.
This surge of solidarity is launched by the Kabyle Forum of the City of Quebec and volunteers from the North American diaspora who want to act urgently by organizing a fundraiser for the benefit of the victims of the fires in Algeria, and in particular the most affected such as Béjaïa, Bouira, Boumerdes and Tizi ouzou in order to alleviate their suffering and meet their needs, even partially, which can be found on the gofundme link: https://gofund.me/ea238f63
Every summer, Kabylia is affected by forest fires, a phenomenon that worsens from year to year, leading to droughts and heat waves. Fires that claimed the lives of several people, and families saw their homes totally or partially destroyed, burned dozens of vehicles and their sources of income and property go up in smoke.
