Top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi says China is willing to work together with the international community to prevent further deterioration of the situation in Ukraine and will persistently strive for peace.
Wang Yi made the remarks during his meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. Wang also praised the two countries as strategic partners and expressed hope for the continued stable development of relations. Kuleba said the two countries have maintained communication over the past year. Ukraine values China’s international status and important influence, as well as China’s stance of advocating a political settlement.
