President Gabriel Boric’s decision to postpone the reception of the credentials of the Israeli ambassador to Chile, motivated by the recent murders of young Palestinians, among other crimes committed by the Israeli army of occupation in Gaza, has had widespread support.

In the same vein, MP Gonzalo Winter (CS), stressed that “beyond the details of the disagreement with the Israeli ambassador, as Chileans we cannot remain unmoved by the permanent violation of international law and UN resolutions 242 (1967), 338 (1973), 2334 (2016)”.
Meanwhile, early this Friday (16) it was confirmed that the Chilean ambassador to Israel, Jorge Carvajal, was summoned this Sunday before the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country “for a conversation of reprimand in which the Israeli response to the ambassador will be clarified”, according to the Israeli Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Emmanuel Nashhon.
