On this show we speak with Tomás Hirsch Chilean Congress Deputy with Action Humanist, about Chile approving the International Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, which was promoted by ICAN together with many peace and disarmament organizations, and which was adopted by the United Nations on January 22, 2021.
It is with great joy and satisfaction that we report that today the Chamber of Deputies unanimously approved the International Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). For humanists, this is a substantive advance, since we have been promoting this important struggle throughout the world for a long time. For this reason, since the beginning of our legislative work, as deputies we have made presentations to the Chilean Foreign Ministry and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives to promote this project.
