Sen. Bernie Sanders will hold a virtual roundtable on the coronavirus response Sunday night with three of his strongest supporters, the Vermont lawmaker’s 2020 Democratic presidential campaign announced.
Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) will join Sanders on livestream at 7pm. Musical guests, including the band Grandson, will perform.
“What better time than now to call for bold, progressive policy solutions,” tweeted progressive activist Jordan Uhl.

Sanders has called for a $2 trillion stimulus to combat the economic contraction from the coronavirus outbreak. Tlaib, on Saturday, unveiled a plan to order the U.S. Treasury to issue two $1 trillion coins to fund the recovery.
While Sanders has spent the last week advocating for progressive solutions to the crisis and hosting online chats, forums, and roundtables, his remaining rival former Vice President Joe Biden has not been seen since making a brief victory speech on the night of the March 17 primaries.
