On December 21, Jane Fonda celebrated her 79th birthday announcing her decision to take her money out of Wells Fargo bank, one of the major investors in the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Together with indigenous activists, Veterans for peace, Civil Rights Icon Dolores Huerta, Lily Tomlin, Frances Fisher, Catherine Keener and many others, Jane Fonda marched from Hollywood & Vine to Wells Fargo in Vine Street and Chase Bank at the corner of Sunset & Vine.
Among indigenous prayers, dance, songs, inspiring speeches and a birthday celebration for a truly legendary peace activist, the rally was co-sponsored by AIM SoCal Official Community, Sacred Places Institute for Indigenous Peoples, Native Voice Network, March And Rally Los Angeles,WilderUtopia, Tar Sands Action – Southern California and more.
