Dear reader,

My name is Ravi Chellam, and I am excited to meet you in my new role as the Executive Director of Greenpeace India.

I come from a background of wildlife research and conservation and my passions include reading, composting and cricket. I was the highest wicket taker in Tamil Nadu for the first half of the 1984-85 season! If not an environmentalist, I would have definitely been a cricketer!

I have been supporting Greenpeace for a long time. In taking on this new challenge, this is my hope and vision for India’s environment. Please watch the video below to know more.
2016 is a fresh start for all of us. I am proud of our country’s democratic and inclusive values that respect dissent and celebrate diversity. It is these values that form Greenpeace’s mission to campaign for an India that has safe air, water and food as well as flourishing wildlife.
