Dear Friends, Greetings for a New Year, 2015, full of peace, force and joy and with our look set towards the future!
In this month of January, as in previous years, we are running our annual fundraising campaign to finance our projects for 2015.
Let’s remember that Pressenza belongs to those of us who work in her and that it’s only us and our friends who sustain her. So we depend on ourselves, those who are interested that the Agency moves ahead and that it develops even further and therefore we take responsibility for the costs that this implies, with a voluntary contribution of a freely chosen amount, in accordance with the possibilities that each one of us can manage.
The projects for this year include the usual maintenance of the website and the improvements in software and our graphic presentation; the possibilities to meet in South America in April and in Europe in July when we will participate once more in the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum; to edit one or two books compiling the opinion pieces that we have published; to participate in the Ecuador Book Fair; to set in motion seminars about Peace and Nonviolence Journalism in different places; to collaborate in the production of 12 documentaries for Ecuadorian TV; to present the agency in Universities around the world aiming for young people to make this project their own; to circulate at least one electronic bulletin per month per language; to make our production go viral on social networks, etc., etc…
So we will see what we can do, in accordance with the push that this new fundraising campaign allows.
As always, we are starting and finishing this campaign during the month of January and we will spend everything we collect during this year. So it is that we are starting this campaign today and it will finish on the 31st of January.
