“BILL NIGHY, ANDREW LINCOLN AND MORE IN OUR NEW FILM ON WHAT A ROBIN HOOD (FINANCIAL TRANSACTION) TAX COULD MEAN FOR EUROPE
The year is 2024. Europe has had a Robin Hood Tax for ten years and have been using it to fund public services and the fight against poverty and climate change.
Everyone is delighted with what it’s achieved.
Everyone, of course, except…The Banker.
Bill Nighy returns in the newest Robin Hood Tax film. He brings with him Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead), Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter), Javier Camara (Talk To Her) and Heike Makatsch (Love Actually) star in Future News: our new film on what a decade of a Robin Hood Tax could mean for Europe.
Enjoy the film Sherwood and add your name to the likes of Stephen Fry, Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln, Lauren Laverne and others getting behind the European Robin Hood Tax.
What a European Robin Hood Tax could pay for:
- Just 5% of the expected tax revenue could fund a million extra nurses across Africa.
- 22% of the revenue would be enough to reverse the cuts that Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal made to education between 2009 and 2011.
- In one year, the tax could fund Europe’s share of the Global Green Fund to tackle climate change.”
