The latest news from Turkey is that in many cities in Turkey now the people are standing still, without moving, also in Ankara and Istanbul, in squares, in streets, in malls, in courts and all kind of other places. Just standing still as a silent expression of their protest. No police an or government can blame them for standing still. In Istanbul when a police man ask what the person is doing, they answer that they are waiting. When the police ask for whom, they give the name of a person who died in the violence of the past weeks. This form of protest started yesterday with one man standing still for 6 hours in Taksim Square. Then more and more people joined him. At the end they were many and the police came to arrest them for standing still. Today this happens in the whole country. In Ankara a young handicapped man came out of his wheel chair which his mother was pushing, and went down on his knees, staying in that position. Then others started to join him and so on. We will see if tomorrow this new phenomenon of protest will be massified.
