There was reported a blast at 06:40 this morning and that a man who was in his late 50’s running away from the package outside the PM office. He was described as wearing jeans and dark overcoat. Witness said he was around 160cm tall approx.
Nobody was hurt, but it’s the first time a real bomb has been defused in downtown Reykjavik and people are scared and facebook has been buzzing about this.
The police chief of Reykjavik, Stefán Eiríksson (Stefan Eiriksson) didn’t want to comment about anything regarding this, but said that the bomb was real according to RÚV (The icelandic national broadcasting company).
