A high rank official affirmed that the Israeli airstrike was launched in
spite of the informal cease-fire with Israel which was announced by the armed Palestinian groups.

As the fighting between the two sides continued into the night, Israeli
aircraft targeted four more spots in Gaza to kill two Palestinians and wound
two others near Rafah.

Meanwhile, the Israeli aircrafts attacked with another strike east of Gaza
City and two in the area of Khan Yunis, in the south, caused no casualties as witnesses said.

Islamic Jihad movement announced on Saturday that it will stay
committed to the informal cease-fire, with the right to hit back against any
Israeli attacks.

Senior Hamas leader, Ahmad Bahar said that the Israeli airstrikes
on the Gaza Strip were another Israeli escalation and an attempt to trick the Palestinian resistance into it.

He added “These attacks are an Israeli way of compensating for the
recent prisoner deal which is strategic victory for Palestinian resistance.”

Israeli media reported that rockets and mortar shells were fired
into Israel and a man had died from his injuries after a projectile fired from the Gaza Strip hit the southern city of Ashkelon.
