The major demands by the protesters are the following:
1. Creation of constitutional kingdom as per the modern world where the government is elected by people and not appointed by the king as per the Charter voted by 98.4% of Bahraini in 2001.
2. No impunity to the killers, torturers and those who ordered to shoot people. Independent investigation should be done.
3. Release of all political prisons and allowing freedom of speech.
4. Some are also asking the ruling family to leave the country, however this is not a general agreement by the opposition.
