The swimmer’s first crossing, from Papua, New Guinea to Indonesia, will bridge the distance between Oceania and Asia. Later on, he is to cross from Asia to Africa by swimming from the coasts of Yemen to the beaches of Yibuti.
In the third heat, Díaz is to cover the distance between Morocco and Spain, and then finally link Eurasia to Americas by swimming from Russia to Alaska.
