Participating in the march, which took place last October 2 to commemorate the inauguration of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence, were the Government Secretary of the Municipality of Rosario, Horacio Girardi, Argentine Congressional Representative, Agustín Rossi and Silvia Gómez of the Humanist Movement, among other personalities.
Within the framework of the march, the organization World without Wars and various city institutions, with the cooperation of the Municipality of Rosario, organized a series of activities as a sign of their participation in the global protest and all citizens were invited to participate.
Between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., a Music Festival was held on the grounds of the National Flag Monument and included diverse ensembles (dances, a choir, bands and musical groups) and informational videos regarding the World March were shown on a giant screen.
The main route of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence began last October 2 in New Zealand and will pass through 90 countries, demanding nuclear disarmament and the end to war.
