On September 24, Magdaleno Varela Maldonado, the director of the State Council for the Awareness and Prevention of Domestic Violence (CEPAVI) of the National System for Essential Family Development (DIF) of Jalisco, joined the cause of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence through a video in which he expressed his support and that of this excellent organization.
Varela’s adherence to the cause brings with it that of CEPAVI, an organization from the State of Colima in México that attempts to eliminate and prevent domestic violence through projects of intervention in the communities.
Likewise, Magdaleno Varela declared that this global tour in support of peace is a valuable and significant initiative for everyone, as it allows family and society “to move in new ways toward a culture of peace and love.”
Additionally, Magdaleno noted that the World March for Peace and Nonviolence will be a kind of central theme in the development of the events for the Bicentennial of Mexican Independence and the Centennial of the Mexican Revolution, which will take place on the grounds of the former State Congress of the Federal Palace between September 29 and October 2 for the first phase and between November 17 and 20 for the second. During the events they will present various lectures about this global mobilization.
