The Integral Movement for Popular Education and Social Promotion, Alegría-Bolivia, recently joined the World March for Peace and Nonviolence promoted by the Humanist Movement through its World Without Wars organization. “This is an international demonstration by all people who demand the right to live in peace and freedom, without the menace of violence and war”, declared Ignacio Suñol, national Director of the organization.
The Bolivian movement states that it is in agreement with the driving principles behind the international march. “They coincide with all the values that Fe y Alegría instils in the classroom and workshops as well as within its popular communities”. In this way the organization joins the global initiative which already counts on representatives in more than 100 countries.
On the 2nd of October, the UN International Non-violence Day, the Fe y Alegría Movement will accompany the beginning of this World March “with special activities in our educational centres and our social promotion actions”, Suñol said.
