Nepal – World unity for peace march

The Humanist Movement members want to thank all the participants and supporters of our World Unity for Peace March that took place at Hetuda, just outside the Kathmandu valley, and about 90Km from the Kathmandu)capital. We send our heartfelt appreciation for a wonderful day that brought all together and sent an important message around the world – Tulsi Sigdel.

Statement by the congregation of Syrian Artists for Freedom

In the beginning, the corrupt security forces of the police state shot the unarmed
civilians, then claimed to start the movement of reform by killing thousands. This
murderous regime cannot resuscitate the bodies of murdered victims or bring the
carnage of bodies back together; nothing can restore a life lost except a brighter future
than prevents the loss of more lives.

Homage to Silo

On January 6th the birth of Silo, spiritual guide, paladin of non-violence, philosopher of the Universal Human Nation, was commemorated. He gave the world a path to comprehend human beings in their truly intentional dimension. He created the tools of a novel evolutionary psychology revealing the human consciousness living in and giving shape to multiple planes of existence.

World Forum for Peace and Nonviolence in Greece

From 9 to 13th of November 2011 took place in Greece the Forum for Peace and Nonviolence in five different cities: Iraklion, Athens, Thebes, Corfu and Preveza. It provided excellent possibilities both for local activities and national coordination on the field of
nonviolence. It is already evident from various initiatives that came as a result of it.

Argentina’s Government encourages measures to broaden connectivity and new technologies

We reproduce here a Report by Telam, National News Agency of Argentina. The boost to the manufacturing of laptops in the productive pole of Tierra del Fuego province, the programme My PC and the rise of the national production of software paved the way for an increase in the connectivity access to almost 60 percent of the inhabitants of the country.

Ambassador of Peace Tour Art Exhibition

The first “Ambassador of Peace” art exhibition in this region was held December 25, 2011. The exhibition was designed in line with The Peace Pals International programme was developed in recent times to encourage youths, aged 5 to 16, to become peacemakers dedicated to living in the spirit of the words, “May Peace Prevail on Earth”

It is a synthesis of the new spirit that was manifested during 2011 and surely will develop with strenght in the new year to come, since it reflects deep hopes shared by the 99%.

Hiroshima Survivor’s Peace Message

A survivor of the Hiroshima bombing urged a library full of students at Brooklyn International High School to work towards a world without war.

Setsuko Thurlowtold her tale of survival to a group of about fifty seniors on the 70 th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor that drew the U.S. into World War II.

Arab peoples dialogue in Madrid

About two hundred Arabs of different nationalities attended the First Forum for The Awakening of the Arab Peoples. They analyzed the ‘Arab Spring’ and decided to start generating an environment of sharing and joint proposals that can help, somehow, the revolutions that are now taking place in their respective countries.
