ILO: More Jobs Urgently Needed
The only sustainable way to overcome the crisis is to reactivate the economy and create jobs, the general director of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Juan Somavia, affirmed on Monday.
Addressing the International ILO Assembly, he also said it was imperative to fight not just the fiscal deficit, but also the lack of decent jobs.
Europe Urges Israel to Soften Gaza Blockade
Foreign ministers of the European Union (EU) called on Israel to soften its blockade on the Gaza Strip and broaden the list of items allowed into the territory.
The extreme situation in Gaza was the focus of the agenda of the meeting of EU Foreign ministers, who failed to condemn explicitly the violent Israeli attack at a humanitarian aid flotilla bound for Gaza on May 31.

Today the Altrimondiali Team were led on a tour on CEFA milk factory in Njombe in the morning where we witnessed the processes of the production of various milk by products, e.g. cheese, yogurt, butter, etc… And in the afternoon attended and participated in a tournament organized by CEFA and ACRA and dubbed Kombe Lingine La Dunia i.e. Another World Cup.
Evo Morales to Attend South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup
Bolivian President Evo Morales will travel to Johannesburg on Wednesday to attend South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.
After confirming on Tuesday his presence at FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, Morales stressed the importance of sports for health, integration, and discipline.
The Bolivian president also will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
Israel Rejects International Probe
The Israeli military has announced that it will conduct its own internal investigation into last week’s raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla that killed nine Turkish passengers dead. Israel has rejected calls for an international tribunal. On Monday, British Foreign Secretary William Hague said there should be an international presence in the inquiry.

Israeli Troops Take Over MV Rachel Corrie
Israeli troops took control of the Free Gaza movement MV Rachel Corrie aid ship while its sealing to the Gaza Strip to deliver aid and break the Siege. According to the Israeli army soldiers took control of the ship without any clashes with the 20 people on board the ship. MV Rachel Corrie was rerouted to the Israeli sea port of Ashdod near the Gaza Strip.
